About the position

BRAC USA is seeking to immediately hire a highly motivated intern to join the Finance and Administration team based in New York. The position will start as soon as possible and last through the end of January 2017 and can be extended as needed. The position includes data management,  donation processing, and office administration. The Intern will report to the Director of Finance and Administration. This is a tremendous opportunity for a motivated person who wants to learn about non-profit operations, enjoys numbers, data processing, and has incredible attention to detail.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance and Administration team with donation processing, including: database and accounting entry, coding, preparing deposits and filing documents;
  • Receive and record incoming third-party donations;
  • Research systems that will increase efficiency in managing data;
  • Support the BRAC USA team with database management (Salesforce), specifically for individual donors, including all one-time, recurring, and major gifts; and
  • Various projects as needed.



  • A passion for international development and BRAC’s mission.
  • An interest in learning about non-profit operations and finances.
  • Strong skills with managing high-volume of data and numbers.
  • Familiarity with Excel preferred .
