About the Position

The Associate will report to the Executive Director of BRAC International and Senior Vice President of BRAC USA. The Associate will work as an integral part of a small but highly effective team in support of the growth of BRAC USA and its efforts to advance BRAC’s poverty alleviation programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Executive Support (ED and SVP)

  • Support the Executive Director and Senior Vice President with prospect, donor, and stakeholder relationship management. This will include:
    • Conducting in-depth research on new and prospective funders.
    • Pulling and analyzing reports that inform meetings and drive strategy.
    • Scheduling donor meetings, preparing briefing materials, and scheduling preparatory meetings in advance of key interactions.
    • Supporting follow-up from meetings, including preparing debrief summaries, thank you/follow-up notes, and ensuring all contact details and documentation are logged.
    • Taking notes during meetings and preparing action items to distribute to relevant stakeholders.

 

Executive Support (ED)

  • Support the Executive Director at external events and engagements, including logistics, briefings and follow up as needed.
  • Facilitate internal communication and coordination with Executive Director’s Senior Leadership team and other relevant staff members in Dhaka and across regions and country programs.  
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel itineraries.

 

Executive Support (SVP)

  • Support the SVP with efforts to manage the BRAC USA pipeline, helping to coordinate fundraising efforts across the BRAC family and strengthening new business development operations in collaboration with the Program Development, Resource Mobilization and Learning team.

 

General Support

  • Support colleagues from other BRAC offices when in the US to arrange meetings and logistics, as requested/needed.
  • Backup for front desk coverage.
  • Other support as needed.

  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in an office.
  • Solid experience with MS office and Google suite.
  • Familiarly with online calendars and cloud systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven interest in nonprofit fundraising and international development. 
  • Proactive team player with strong desire to learn and ability to be flexible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong business writing skills; ability to analyze, synthesize, and clearly present information.
  • Experience with databases preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Diplomatic and highly effective on an interpersonal level in addition to cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding.
  • Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
