About the Position

The Development Intern will work as an integral part of a small team to support a diverse fundraising portfolio. The position will support the Director of External Affairs and Development Associate to develop the Individual Giving program at BRAC USA.

This is an unpaid, part-time internship and the ideal candidate will be able to work from BRAC USA’s office in Manhattan’s Financial District, two-to-three days per week. This internship will begin at the end of January or early February 2020 and end in May 2020, with the possibility of an extension.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with major gift fundraising efforts, including conducting donor research, preparing meeting briefings, and developing stewardship materials.
  • Support the development team with fundraising database management, including pulling pipeline reports and inputting and cleaning data.
  • Create and tailor donor materials to highlight research and programs.
  • Organize logistics for external-facing engagement events.

 

Qualifications

  • A demonstrated passion for international development and BRAC’s mission.
  • Strong interest in nonprofit fundraising.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Excellent research and writing skills for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and the Google productivity suite.
  • Experience with constituent record management systems, such as Salesforce, preferred.
