BRAC USA staff work in a hybrid work environment that includes both in-office and remote work arrangements. This position will be based in the Northeast, with a preference for candidates located in the New York area. This role combines the benefits of remote work flexibility with the need for in-office collaboration. 

 

About the Position

BRAC USA is seeking an Associate to join our Corporate and Foundation Partnerships (CFP) team. The Associate will support the CFP team’s fundraising strategy by identifying and researching new donor prospects and funding opportunities to mobilize resources for BRAC and BRAC International's programs.  The Associate will also support proposal development processes with BRAC USA and other BRAC entities, which includes: working with the Senior Manager, CFP, to schedule meetings with donors, partners, and BRAC colleagues, capture meeting notes and action items, track internal and external deadlines, contribute to the drafting and editing of proposals, and maintain databases and knowledge resources, among other relevant tasks.

Donor Prospecting, Cultivation, and Relationship Management 

  • Provide administrative support to the CFP team and senior management to develop fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research to identify potential corporate and foundation partners, donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities. This involves analyzing donor databases, prospecting for new donors, and assessing their philanthropic interests and capacity to give.
  • Utilize fundraising software and databases to track and analyze donor information, performance, and fundraising metrics.
  • Draft and edit concise narratives for research briefs, blog posts, literature reviews, external meetings and speaking engagements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's donor management system. 
  • Possess and communicate a strong understanding of BRAC's programs worldwide, from health and women's empowerment to agriculture and microfinance.

Resource Mobilization, Proposal Development, & Reporting 

  • Support the development of grant proposals and budgets by conducting research, collecting data, and drafting grant applications. Collaborate with the fundraising team and to ensure alignment between funding needs and program objectives.
  • Assist in analyzing fundraising data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.

Administration

  • Manage critical administrative systems and tasks for the team, including Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and shared drives. 
  • Provide administrative support for the CFP team, including calendar management and scheduling, taking meeting minutes, expense reporting, and organizational support.
  • Maintain and meaningfully contribute to BRAC USA’s internal knowledge sharing and task management platform.
  • Assist in preparing materials for meetings, presentations and special projects.
  • Support Senior Leadership Team members as needed, including scheduling, meeting preparation and travel arrangements.
  • Help to recruit and train CFP team interns.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience (e.g., part- or full-time, work-study, internships).
  • Experience with research or grant proposal writing.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and databases such as Salesforce, Wealth Engine, Foundation Center, Notion, and Slack preferred.

Note that some benefits are subject to a waiting period, and more information can be provided to shortlisted applicants upon request. The annual gross salary for this position is $50,000.
